Come out to Murphy's Tonight 7:00 pm Happy Hour
7:30 pm Speaker & Meeting
Good Morning
Well, it has been a busy three weeks. Republicans in Alexandria have had a lot of events. Thank you all for participating. First, Come out the the monthly AYR Meeting TONIGHT at MURPHY'S IRISH PUB. Join us for a drink, some dinner and lots of conversation at a pre-meeting happy hour at 7:00 pm. Our speaker and meeting will begin at 7:30 pm. We have lots of new events and ideas, so come out TONIGHT and join us.
On President's Day, we had a great showing at the Alexandria George Washington Birthday Parade, allowing people throughout Alexandria to see out pride in our City.
We next had a canvass to elect the new chairman of the Alexandria Republican City Committee (ARCC). This took place on Saturday, February 23rd. We had a turnout of about 260 people. There were a lot of young families and new people who had never participated before. It was amazing to see everyone come out to get involved. The new ARCC chairman is Chris Marston. We want to let everyone know that, though he was not successful, Chris Kachouroff was a great candidate and brought a lot of new people out.
Finally, last Saturday was the Alexandria St. Patrick's Parade. This was a great parade. The Republicans in the parade out numbered the Democrats by a WIDE margin. We were even getting a large number of cheers from the crowd. It was fun participating.
Now we are going to work to keep the momentum moving forward, bringing those people who are new and looking to get involved into the ARCC and the AYRs.
If there is something you are in interested in getting involved with, tell us. As always, we are here to help YOU find opportunities to get involved in Republican politics. All of our schedules are busy with careers, social lives, and family. We want to make sure that when you have time there is an activity available for you. Just email me if you want to talk about anything.
